SACRED “SOLIDARITY ARTS CULTURE ROOTS EARTH DANCE” FESTIVAL Sunday, June 21, 2009 11am -4:30pm Tabling Application The mission of SACRED Fest is to build community through the arts, culture, activism, and healing. Art is not about conforming to one ideal or one person’s way of expressing themselves; rather it is about getting in touch with one’s own creative spirit as possible means of healing. Participants will experience hands on workshops with local artists, musicians, healers, activists and more. There will be a market of delicious cultural foods, mural painting, poetry slam, drum circles, face painting, stilt walking activists, various performances, and art displays throughout the day. Human rights and peace organizations throughout DC will provide workshops on conflict resolution, restorative justice, and alternatives to violence-to name a few. SACRED festival will provide opportunities to collaborate and share resources with others, present the arts in non traditional ways and deepen public awareness of the dynamic diversity of Washington, DC.
DEADLINE: All entries must be postmarked by June 10th, 2009. You will be notified of acceptance by June 14th. Upon notification of acceptance, please send the full payment.
ELIGIBILITY: Tables should remain within the theme of the festival. Artists, healers, organizations, and non-profits are encouraged to apply. You must have at least one person manning your table at all times.
FEES: The application fee of $10.00. The non-refundable tabling fee of $25 is due upon notification of acceptance. Checks/money orders made out to SACRED Dance Festival.
Complete all pages and sign the application agreement. Include a check / money order with your application.

Ø The SACRED Fest committee is not responsible or liable for any damages that occur at the festival.(equipment, props, literature, damaged items etc.)
