Klia Bassing, MBA, MPP began meditating in 2001 to help her with compulsive eating behaviors. In 2005 she founded Visit Yourself at Work®, LLC (www.VisitYourself.net) to provide Mindfulness Meditation for stress reduction to groups and individuals. Visit Yourself at Work’s seminars and series have taken place at the World Bank, the Internal Revenue Service, UBS (United Bank of Switzerland), the National Academy of Sciences, the Discovery (Channel) Communications, The Washington Post, Kaiser Permanente, Whole Foods, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Library of Congress, the U.S. Department of Justice, Fannie Mae, and various law firms and universities.

In traditional Chinese medicine, summer is associated with the heart, which marries heaven and earth, Spirit and humanity, intellect and emotion, and masculine with feminine, in a fluid exchange of giving and receiving. The longest day of the year is a fabulous time to open yourself up to this balance between active and receptive states of being, using mindfulness and movement.
